Projects so far
Here you can find some of the projects I participated in or contributed to.
Many of them were made in cooperation with Sergey Gritsyuk, and scientific ones – in the IT laboratory of my university under the supervision of Dr. Boris Yatsalo.
- CodingAndroid
CodingAndroid is a software development studio specializing in high-quality mobile applications for Google Android platform. Our first Android project – Beetaun – was a finalist of Google Android Developer Challenge (among top 50 out of 1788 applications).
We are interested in really useful or innovative projects and aim primarily at long-term cooperation with our partners. The projects we did include
- Playnow Android Client RU (a mobile content distribution client, in cooperation with SonyEricsson Russia and Playfon),
- Listen to Music (a music streaming client, in cooperation with Playfon),
- Avaya SalesPro (an Avaya sales support app, in cooperation with Avaya and Voltmobi),
- Hayemaker (a David Haye promo app, in cooperation with Volmmobi),
- Cupoco Android Client (an early version of a coupon distribution client, in cooperation with GeoVoucher)
- Beetaun (intended to become a social network around unique places, as a part of ADC participation)
You can find more information about our team on codingandroid.com
- GEOVoucher
GEOVoucher is a geo-oriented web service for iPhone, Android and other mobile platforms that brings the best free coupons straight to your cellphone or computer. This way you stay informed about the latest offers and save a lot of money.
GEOVoucher was developed by GEOVoucher OU, and CodingAndroid was participating in this project as Android developer.
- Beetaun
Beetaun was intended to become a social network uniting active and curious people from all over the world who likes to travel and to share their experiences. Supporting the basic features of social networks (friends, messages, etc.) we were going to orient it towards exciting geographical content.
Beetaun was a finalist of Google Android Developers Challenge and went through several rethinking phases. Right now the project is temporary frozen.
- DECERNS
The objective of the DECERNS project was creation of methods and software tools that provide decision support on multicriteria analysis of spatial alternatives, including land use planning and management, environmental protection, location problems, etc.
DECERNS is an original Web Spatial Decision Support System that provides MCDA and GIS functionality.
I was involved into development of the MCDA subsystem which supported various basic decision analysis methods such as MAVT, AHP, TOPSIS, and a number of more advanced ones such as PROMETHEE, MAUT, SMAA.
- jSimpleViz framework
jSimpleViz is a tiny framework for visualization and building interactive components. jSimpleViz was born as a lightweight solution for applets as a result of lack of good libraries for development of interactive customized GUI components.
The concept of this framework is that every interactive component can be described with a number of objects, unified presentational and behavioral properties (patterns) and links between objects. jSimpleViz is based on extandable architecture and allows easy expansion with new specific elements.
Here you can view some of the samples we created during development and testing of the early version of jSimpleViz.
- fuzzylib
fuzzylib is a software library for fuzzy arithmetics and algebra developed as a part of my master thesis and as a part of the DECERNS project. It allows to describe any kinds of fuzzy numbers (singleton, trapezoidal, piecewise) and to calculate any algebraic functions with fuzzy numbers as arguments. It is easily extendable and easy to use. At the moment of development there were no freely accessible analogs and probably no proprietary libraries of this kind. If you are interested in this library, feel free to contact me.
With its help basic support of fuzzy decision making was integrated into the DECERNS system.
Here are some screenshots of a testing application that allowed to manipulate fuzzy numbers and see the results of some decision support methods.
